Home Science Department

Department of Home Science was established in September 1989. Initially the department was started at B. A. level with Home Science as one of the subject amongst other subject offered by faculty of arts. Home Science at Post Graduate Level was started by the department in the year 2007 under self-finance mode by departmental efforts. Seven batches successfully post graduated from the department from 2007 to 2014. The PG programme follows semester system mode as per UGC guide lines. Ph. D. Programme in Home Science has been started from 2011-12 as per UGC Norms. Department is successfully coordinating several diploma courses under Indira Gandhi National Open University, (IGNOU) programme. The department also organizes workshops and training programmes for women empowerment and entrepreneurship.
